    Windows 7 SP1 Update problems

Hello guys, I've been trying to update my Windows 7 to SP1 (finally after waiting months) and I've been having problems with it. It keeps saying downloading 1 update (0 kb total, 0% complete). It's been like this for the past half an hour.

Try downloading it from the site linked at the top here, instead of trying to download it through Windows Update. You can download it from there, and install it as a standalone..

That page has a lot of download links. Which ones do I download? I just need Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932).

You click the first link that says Continue -

    Then validate it -

You click on the one at the bottom, after you run the validation tool and paste in the code it gives you. The x86 if that is what you are using - Windows 7 (x86) 32 bit.

And then try and install the SP1 from that standalone.

Ok Just installed it. And everything seems to be running smoothly. So glad it worked out fine because trying to update Windows XP SP2 to SP3 has been a major issue for me on my home desktop.
