C:/Windows/SoftwareDistribution/Downloads -- is it SAFE to delete?

hello again. :)) many says it is safe to delete the contents of this folder and i wonder if it is. I've read a thread that ones i delete this, i cannot uninstall some previous updates and many other cons. But i think this folder is safe to delete, so i want to know if my sense is right, to delete its content. :))

    thanks in advance! :))

    It's perfectly safe to delete!

It's simply where Windows Update downloads updates before it goes about installing them.
Whoever said 'deleting the contents of this folder prevents you from uninstalling earlier updates' is plain wrong.

Don't worry - it's totally safe and a good way to free up space on your system. (Obviously not when Windows is in the middle of downloading/installing new updates, lol)
