    Important Question on Windows 7

Hi, I recently bought a second hand laptop and noticed that the OS: Windows 7 professional x64bit is only a trial version and windows is not activated. I am worried about when the trial ends and i might get Windows not Genuine issues. I tried finding the Product Key but it says its a Default Key and cannot be used to activate the product.

I cant afford to buy Another Windows 7 Pack just to get that Product Key therefore i was thinking of buying just a PRODUCT KEY on a website which is quite cheap but it says it wont work on OEM Versions(only on retail versions). I am a bit confused whether that trial version is OEM or not and doesn't want to waste money on buying a Product Key that wont work. Have a look at the website

and please suggest any other options how should i get it Activated? If i can re-install a trial version again from the web and if it will work then?

If you don't pay, you can't play.

As the prior poster says, no play if no pay.
Your laptop came with a trial version and when it expires, you will not be able to use the laptop.
You can purchase a legal copy of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) software from many computer stores.
I would NOT buy from some on-line place that sells keys. You will waste your money and in no time your system will be another Trial version.

If you bought your used laptop from a legitimate place then I would go back to them and see if they sell the OS legitimately, Unless of course you had to pick up the laptop with asbestos gloves. <GG>

I think it's kinda fishy that you got a laptop with a trial version of Windows! Did they install it fresh before selling it to you?
You could probably claim that you were misled (if they never said it was a trial) and insist that they give you a valid key for it.

The only trial version of Windows 7 available today is the Enterprise version:

Windows 7 Enterprise | Trial, Evaluation, Test, Download

If you want a genuine copy of Windows, you'll have to buy a copy, the same as we did.

The cheapest versions to buy are either OEM or Student & Teacher.

If you want advice on pirated, illegal or dodgy software, this is not the place to get it.

As suggested earlier, if you don't pay, you can't play.
