    Windows 7 SP1 Error: 0x800F081F


    Hello all
    I'm currently having problems with installing the SP1, any help would be aprechiated

    Did you use the link to download and run the System Update Readiness Tool as shown in your screenshot?

    If not, you need to do that to see what transpires.

    If SURT doesn't cure the problem then click through to the link Microsoft gives you in the warning dialog box for help from them.

    Tried removing the RSAT to install SP1 and got this error message:

    finally removed that error via uninstalling the remote admin tools via cmd.
    althought most people saying it's that that cause the error, they reboot and it installs, where as mine doesnt hmmmmmmmm

    Generally I try to get a PC with the OS on or buy the OS how I'm going to use it. On Windows I've had too many go-rounds with the SP adviser, prep software, all the rest of it. But after 4 boots and get to last step it says "Service Pack not installed. Rolling back." More aggravation than it's worth.

    Just try to find particular fixes for particular problems. I spend one day trying to do it. If it don't go on in a day I figure I'm never gonna' get there so cut my lost time.
