If they did not install, you cannot uninstall them. But if they turn up again in "available updates", you can "hide" them - just right click.

    You're very welcome.

Download the batch file and save it, then right-click the file, choose Run as Administrator and wait for the program to run.

When you next check Windows Updates all your update history will have been deleted and you'll be prompted to check for new updates.

It's just the update cache that gets cleared out. If you check for Installed Updates in your Control Panel, you'll find all previous updates are listed there.

How to uninstall failed Office 2007 update

My problem is that since the Office 2007 update was download, I have upgraded Office to 2010, so of course the last two Office 2007 updates fail when I close down Windows 7.

Can I uninstall these failing updates or at least stop them from trying to install at every shutdown?

    Thanks,

    jmivory
