    W7 Installation CD with SP1

Home build system. Purchased W7 Home Premium at Fry's. Installation disc did not have SP1. I need to repair my OS without loss of data or programs. To do that I understand that I must have a W7 Home Premium installation disc with SP1 installed or I must remove SP1 from my OS in order to use the installation disc without SP1. I prefer not to do that.

Will Microsoft supply me with an installation disc with SP1?

If so, how much will it cost?

If so, what is the contact information at Microsoft I need to make the request/purchase?

You don't need to buy another Windows DVD. You can slipstream SP1 into your existing Windows operating system.

This tutorial shows you how. Slipstream Windows 7 SP1 into a Installation DVD or ISO File

You can download a copy of Windows 7 with SP1 integrated. It comes as an
.iso file which can be burned into a DVD. This will install with your purchased
    key.

It still must be updated with the changes made since SP1 was issued.

Select what you need here. Download Windows 7 Integrated With SP1 ISO – Official Direct Download Links.

    Hope this helps,

Unfortunately as you apparently already know a Repair Install cannot use a copy of Win7 with slipstreamed SP1.

I would folow Richard's approach to find a Win7 SP1 ISO for your version from any source including searching Google for Official Win7 ISO downloads from My Digital Life. If necessary you can unlock all versions in any Win7 retail ISO using this tool: Unlock any version eicfg removal tool to do the Repair Install.

    FYI:

The link I posted is to Techdows. They have different downloads for specific
versions. For instance their is one for Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1, or for whatever version you need.

    General Discussion W7

Thanks. I was able to create the ISO Installation disk for W7, HP, SP1, 32bit, and complete the repair install successfully.

I have another problem. Same computer. Can't uninstall tsstcorp live update through Control Panel. Can't find Samsung entry in registry. Get pop up message that wrong version is installed. Recently changed CD-ROm from tsstcorp SH-S203B, SB0-4, to Plextor 890, with Plexutilities 1.3.1 installed. May need to do a piecemeal uninstall of tsstcorp live update utility working around Control Panel Uninstall. Your thoughts?

You can check for tsstcorp live update program in Program Files folder. This program folder will have an Uninstall.exe file. You may uninstall by double clicking on the Uninstall program.

There is no tsstcorp live update program in Program Files. However, there is a Samsung file that has in it FWManager.exe and RegToINI.exe files; no uninstall program is there.
