    I've never heard of the IRST drivers inflicting that sort of damage - but it's certainly possible.

    Perhaps the version posted at Foxconn driver support for that model of motherboard was outdated or something, anyway, after the clean install, and not reinstalling the rst drivers anymore got the computer up and running flawless.
