    Can't Install VB2010 Update

    I can't seem to get this update to install for VB 2010. Any ideas how to fix it. Would deleting the update and downloading it again work?

    This error code can be triggered if you are low on disk space.

    It can also fail if other updates are in progress.

    We need to know which update it is and how big it is. It'll be KB followed by the update reference number.

    Do check your hard drive space as well.

    You ask if you can delete the update and try again. Just a thought; how are you going to delete it if you can't install it in the first place?

    As Andy says... the KB would be nice. Sometimes our mind reading abilities are a tad slow...

    BTW > What is said in Event Viewer regarding this problem? { Source & Event ID would be helpful}

    It's about 550MB large but VB isn't installed on my C drive (which only has 1.56GB of free space) but that shouldn't matter should it?

    Because it's already downloaded on my PC but isn't installed yet...

    If you only have 1.56GB free space left on your hard drive, it's odds on that's why you're getting the error.

    Unload any programs you don't use, run disk cleanup or get a bigger hard drive.

    I deleted some temp files and I now have 2.3GB free. But even still all other updates install fine. Just not VB2010 SP1.
