Now I just installed both of them, only took a few minutes. (?)

Well, thanks again...now I'll know what to do if this ever happens again.

I know I am responding to a very old post but this one keeps coming up when searching the "1 of 1" issue. In my case the update that repeatedly failed was the Intel driver update. I ran the Intel Driver Update utility which found an update which I installed. I then hid the Intel update in the Windows update panel and the computer closes normally.
