    Change of Hard Drive and re-installation


    Hi everyone!!

    i have a problem which my HDD (80 GB Segates barracouda) got bad sectors and Windows needs to be re-install on a new Hard drive.

    i want to know is it ok to reinstall my windows 7 on my new 500GB HDD Barracauda ??

    Yes, it is okay to install windows 7 onto another hard drive.

    Yes - you will have to :)
    Activation on the same motherboard should never be a problem, although you may need to use telephone activation if the hardware has changed significantly since the first activation.
