You know at some point its just going to be easier to clean re-install. Im sure someone has asked if you have a backup you can restore from.
Is the system date and time correct?
Ken
Doc ... with all that data corruption going on, I think that may just be adding fuel to the fire at this point ... Im hoping that we can restore his system to a point where it shows it as activated .... get a good look at the results of slmgr -dlv .. look at his rearm count and rearm if necessary.. whew, I cant believe I got that all out in one breath!
But Ken is ultimately correct.. at some point in time a reinstall is going to be necessary. Just trying to avoid going through one of Docs' timeholes is all..

Great group effort here, but Tews is probably right, corruption of Data just might get worse

True great idea

Deciced to do system restore to a day ago before I had this problem. After that was done I turned off automatic updates, got a new product key from windows, and put it over the other one. It activated, and I then turned back on automatic updates. Rebooted two times. So far no problem.
