    Hi DAJ...

This may be a simple matter of re-arming your copy of W7, but first we need to check this out a bit...

from your start menu enter CMD .. then click on the icon that pops up at the top of your menu box..
Open up the cmd terminal and enter slmgr -dlv .. you will see a box appear with information about your copy ... use the snipping tool and get a screenshot and upload it .... we'll go from there...

A couple of people at work have reported this “data is invalid” error during the activation of their vista installation. Here is how to fix vista error 0×8007000D.

My vista installation progress continues with good success! On a couple of boxes I have had problems validating due to a 0×8007000D or “Data is Invalid” error.
Typically, I have been able to isolate this error to ISO mounting tools such as Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%. Some antivirus programs may cause this error as well.
In fact, sometimes installing one of these tools after activation will actually cause vista to no longer be activated and you may get a “this machine is unlicensed” message also.
If you must need a image-mounting tool, try one of the older version of Daemon Tools. I have had good luck with versions 3.33 and earilier.

I did use an ISO mounting tool to update windows 7 beta to windows 7 RC back in may, instead of doing a clean install, havent had a problem until today. I did install a live vocal effects software yesterday but uninstalled it last night. Not sure if that has something to do with it. I'm using Avast antivirus, and that always updates everyday.

Do you have more than one RC key you can try to activate the RC with. I think I read that you can still get RC keys from Microsoft, but the RC download has stopped.
