    Windows 7 activation help

    Hi.
    Hope someone can help?
I`ve had a HD crash and ended up re installing WIN7 in a new drive.
I now need to activate the product.
I cant find the email with the number sent to me.

I have the offending drive that crashed recognised by my new Windows installation.
All my old Windows files are there.
Is there any way I can get my product activation number from this?

    Thanks

    Eddie

    Hello,

Did you bought windows though microsoftstore ? then you can login with your windowslive id and see your key there. You can also activate by phone for a list of phone numbers see Microsoft Volume Licensing - Activation Centers you could try a "windows productkey viewer/finder" but i'm not a fan of those.

    windowskey +r type slui.exe 4

Call Microsoft at 1-800-936-5700 to activate by phone.

The Microsoft website may have other numbers.

I did end up phoning an assistant in the end.
Damn frustrating conversation talking to an Indian with a heavy accent.

    I`m sorted now.
    Thanks for your help.
