HELP: Windows 7 Build 7601 This copy of Windows is not genuine.

    A pleasant day to all.

Im a newbie here, so i hope i get this right.
I am having trouble with my product key and i dont know what to do. There's a message in my desktop that says "Windows 7 Build 7601 This copy of Windows is not genuine."
Ive seen a product id on my laptop and tried to put that to activate windows but it's invalid. Btw, i have installed SP1. Windows keeps on asking for activation. I kinda ignored the 30 days notice to activate it and now i think im in trouble. I dont have much knowledge about this stuff as it is not my line of work. I've searched the forum with similar problem as mine but it gets me confused so i made a new thread. Can someone help me sort out this problem? If its possible please give me step by step instruction on fixing this prob. I badly need one. Im so worried about this. Thank you so much.

    Hi,

Please run the following tool, then copy and paste the information in your next reply - ignore any errors that appear when you copy & paste:

You need to type in your activation code ( 25 digit code ) not your ID.

One of your problems is addressed in one of the forum's stickies.
CScript Error: Can't find script engine "VBScript" -alternate solution

The other is that the Key in use here is the Default Key - for what version and edition of Windows is your computer licensed, according to the COA sticker on the case?

I used Jellybean key finder and it says that the product key is a default one.
There is no COA sticker on the base of my unit.

This is the result of the Jellybean Key Finder:

Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1
    Product Part No.: X15-39655
Installed from 'Full Packaged Product' media.
Product ID: 00371-177-0000061-85062 match to CD Key data
    CD Key: HYF8J-CVRMY-CM74G-RPHKF-PW487elps
    Computer Name: JPET
    Registered Owner: toshiba

I hope this helps. Thank u.

If there is no COA sticker, and you have not purchased a Retail copy of Windows 7 Professional, then your installation must be considered counterfeit.

Please check inside the battery compartment for the COA sticker - some manufacturers hide them there to prevent easy access.

If the sticker is not there, and not on the outside of the case, then you have a major problem.
From where did you purchase this machine? was it a personal purchase in a store, or an internet purchase from a dealer or end-user vendor? - or what??

I see you appear to be in Korea - unfortunately that region is not known for its adherence to proper licensing practices, so it is natural to be suspicious.

No sticker either in the battery compartment. Actually my husband bought this laptop in Qatif, Saudi Arabia and sent it to
me via fed ex. Im in the Philippines not in Korea.

He personally bought this from a computer store.
What steps should i do, since this appears to be counterfeit? This is a major major problem to me.

Now I am totally confused - your forum profile shows you to be in the GMT+6 timezone.
Your MGADiag report says that you are using GMT+9 as a timezone.

Please first reset your Region and Time/Date settings to those appropriate for your actual location.

Unfortunately, I have seen *many* examples of counterfeits from the Qatar/UAE/Saudi area - they seem to work on the basis that since most people are non-residents, then they will/can not chase any problems.

Once you have reset your time/date settings properly, please attempt validation again, at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate then post another MGADiag report.
