I own a legit copy of windows 7 ultimate and I want to use it on another computer but I was reading online I can only use the product key only on one PC .where can I buy additional product keys or is it OK to use it again on a different pc
Well I guess one product key is valid for only one computer. That's what I know.
Each Key is valid on ONE installation at a time.
If your current Key is a Full Retail one, then you can move it to another machine - after removing it from the current one.
If it's an Upgrade, then you can move it to a new machine providing the new machine has a qualifying license, and you remove it from the current machine
You cannot move OEM licenses/Keys between machines under any circumstances.
You can purchase Retail packs in any reputable computer store - do NOT be tempted with cut-price offers on eBay or suchlike - the vast majority are counterfeit.

Are you sure you need Ultimate? You're paying a huge premium for just a few extra features that most users do not ever need. I would consider Home Premium which offers a significant price break, such as a 3-pack of licenses available on reputable sites like Amazon, Buy.com and Newegg for about the price of a single HP license.

For most users, Home Premium is more than sufficient (if it wasn't for XP Mode, I could probably get away with Home Basic)
The only good reasons for usinng Ultimate are
1) BitLocker
2) Multi-language interface.
If you need neither, then Home Premium is quite good enough unless you need either access to Domain-based networks, or XP Mode.
If you don't need Media Center, then you may be able to get away with Home Basic .
Starter Edition is ONLY available pre-installed from manufacturers - but a lot of the time is sufficient for 'the average user' !!
I mainly got it for the media center but as for price I didn't pay full price for eBay is our friends
Something like 90% of Windows 'licenses' sold on eBay are counterfeit - and you call that freindly?

Unless you phoned MS and confirmed that the license is a Retail one, and NOT an MSDN one, then the issue is in sever doubt - you may want to think about posting an MGADiag report in your own thread so we can take a look at it (or PM it to me if you can)
