how to disable any particular windows update

    Hi Folks,

Is there any way we can disable any particular Windows update?

My laptop is Lenvo thinkpad edge 14 which is having a Bluetooth 2 compatible hardware. And I'm using Home Premium x64. I can see the windows update driver for Bluetooth 3.0 is available for download, and it is automatically getting the driver downloaded! The problem is laptop getting restarted very frequently without any information on eventlog! a sudden restart! As per my primary investigation I can see only this one as a culprit.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You can right click the update and select 'Hide update' to stop windows from automatically installing it.

You can also set the updates to 'Download but let me decide when to install' option from windows updates settings.

    Thanks for the swift reply.

Yes, I have seen this tutorial. But I want to disable a particular update not to be listed in the available windows updates. My laptop is not restarting because of the windows updates.
