Windows 7 Pro x64 activated but a non-guenuine message appears sometim

    Hi,

I've got a Windows 7 Pro x64 recently installed on my laptop. I managed to active windows 7 with the product key (and it appears now as activated) but... sometimes a message appears on the screen telling a non-guenuin Windows version is running on my computer. Here is the diagnostic report. Hope you can help me. Thank you.

you probably won't receive help on how to crack win 7 here. Seems like your key is an OEM key which is attached to a single computer through the BIOS/motherboard. You can only use this key on that particular PC.

Please see: Vistalizator, Multilingual users and Validation problems

    You need to uninstall Vistalizator.

Hi, cracking windows 7 is not what I intend to do. I bought Windows 7 to replace my Vista OS and asked the shop to have it installed. They installed it telling me it was a genuine version and show me how to activate it (I've got a product key and a brand new package - for me it was the insurance it was a genuine version).

Sorry to insist but are you sure it is a cracked version? Because the price of the windows 7 I paied wasn't a cracked one... Anyway, I will go back to the shop and check for this genuine version...

    Thank for your help.

I wasn't accusing.. just saying it seems that it's an OEM key according to that log. If you bought it from some shop they may have screwed up at some point.

Did they sell you an upgrade version or a stand alone?

Following NoelDP suggestion, I had a look at this Microsoft support page: Warning message when multilingual user interface (MUI) pack is installed in incorrect edition of Windows 7: "This copy of Windows is not genuine". I think this is the reason of my problem. Indeed I leave in an english-speaking country but I wanted to have my OS into french. I checked the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MUI\UILanguages and english and french languages appear. Seems I have no other solution than having my OS into english if I want to have no more no-genuine message.

    Thank you for your help.

You can always use an Anytime Upgrade to get to Ultimate - and then reinstall French.
Your other option is to wait until Windows 8 comes out, and then purchase an upgrade to that - it's multilingual from the starts
