    Invalid volume license key

Recently decided to use my old server (Dell, Xeon processor) as a regular work station, PC. The hard drive has been formatted, deleted and loaded with a W7 Pro (enterprise), everything seems to be ok but at the time to try to activate the license through my license server this is the message I'm getting:

The software licensing service reported that the computer could not be activated with a volume license product key. Volume licensed systems require upgrading from qualified operating system. Error 0x004F035.

Also, no way to join domain !!!!!

    Any ideas, thanks in advance

It depends on where you got your Win7 Enterprise version. Some can only be activated on a volume business network.

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
    - **in your own thread**, please
Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

Ok this is what I just got from MGADiag, unfortunately the COA sticker is gone, this is a kind of old server, Dell PowerEdge T100 server, on the other hand DocBrown is right, this type of W7 products are just to be activated through the licensing server, on the network.

OK - I can see the prblem, at least.
    KMS Licenses are Upgrades.
As part of the license-checking process, WGA checks for a SLIC table in the BIOS.
If one is present, then it must be valid
The SLIC table in your installation is showing as being invalid....
    OEM Activation 2.0 Data-->
BIOS valid for OA 2.0: no, invalid SLIC table
As a result, the license will neither activate nor validate.

You need to change the Key to an MAK one, which basically ignores the SLIC table.

So... Basically there is no way to go through this, if I'm not wrong this is a kind of lock that can be removed, my copy of W7 is valid (legal) there is nothing I can do?? Our agreement with Microsoft is only for this type (KMS) licenses.

    Thanks

It's not usually a problem to request an MAK license when the KMS fails, as I understand it. (Never been involved, personally) - contact your vendor and talk to them about it.
