    Hi,

    Thanks for help.

What this is all about is that I installed a new HD on PC.
After reinstall, everything works just fine except for one program. And, Windows Update too, apparently.
On occasion, I get an error msg that Drivers for program wern't installed, even though they should have been, automatically.

In answer to another of my Posts, a reply told me where Drivers are located in a single Folder.
Not at all sure if this Folder is for all of the Drivers on PC or not ?
But will try installing manually the Drivers for the program I cannot get to run.

Had the thought that perhaps the problem is related to my not having SP1 installed now, like I did before.
A bit of clutching at straws, but can't figure out why this program will not work.
Surprising about Windows Update not working ? Some Firewall or Security setting perhaps ?

The answer is yes to all of your questions.

Sr. Citizen now, and a bit complicated for me.
I did take this snap of Device manager, which might be of help.

Again, thanks for help, Nice of you, Bob

    Hi,

    Again, thanks for help.
The MS "Fixit" program to fix Windows Defender did not work; even though it said it did.
    Legal copy of W7.

The copying of all the data into the programs you have links to is just too much for me frankly.
And, really don't want to buy one. If the following isn't enough to diognos the problem, will just live with it, i guess.
    Appreciate the help very much.
    Regards,
Bob Here's a clip, though, that might help:
