Okay, so it sort of got fixed.

I'm still having trouble installing two updates.
One is the Security Update for Microsoft Silverlight (KB2690721) and the other is the Microsoft Security Essentials Client Update Package (KB2691905).

Can you please tell us what you did?

Are you using MSE as your antivirus? If not, just hide it and try installing silver light alone.

Well, at first I tried the solutions you provided but none of them did the trick. Then I did what Tom said. I fixed the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile.

Yes, it is the only antivirus program I have installed aside from Malwarebytes.
I tried installing the Silverlight on its own but it fails and I get the error code 64C.

    Hi Gabby,

That's great news. I'm glad that fixed it for you :) When I saw the error code, I assumed that the problem was the "does not apply" part, not the "blocked by another condition" - which it was.

KBXXXXXXX does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your computer.

Can you upload your CBS log again please:

    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

If it's too big to attach here, upload it to Free Cloud Storage - MediaFire

The file was too big to attach. Here you go. :)

Thanks for the log. Strangely, neither of those two updates are mentioned in it.

Let's tackle these one by one :) I would like you to repair Silverlight by following these instructions:

    Update errors Code 64C, 8004FF84 & 66A.

But instead of touching the .NET framework, I would like you to repair Microsoft Silverlight.

    Then try installing the update.

There's no repair option, only the uninstall. Does that mean Silverlight is fine or is the repair option not showing because there's something wrong? What should I do?

Popping into the thread as it doesn't appear any other helpers are online (and hopefully following tom982's train of thought):

I'd go ahead and uninstall Silverlight. Easy enough to reinstall it when needed...

BTW, thanks for all the effort you guys have given so far. I appreciate it. :)
