    You're welcome

The 'blob' in the read-only box is there because tehre are some file which are still tagged as read-only by design - the 'blob' is a 'mixed state' flag as opposed to the tick or blank.
Folders cannot be made read-only - only their contents.

CCLeaner is very good - but NEVER use the Registry Cleaner part of it - its default settings are too aggressive, and messing with them can cause great harm to the system. There is NO such thing as a 'good' registry 'cleaner' or 'optimiser'.

    Just one more question..

Noel, Just one more question, when I turn windows on and this has been like this for some time. I did not know if it was normal or not. The command window opens up shows c:windows/system32/ then it shows cmd.exe then the whole command window goes away from the desktop. Is this normal?

    Not really!
I would suggest a good malware scan, and if it continues, post to a new thread on that issue.

download and install Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free version) from www.malwarebytes.org - UNtick 'Enable free trial of MBAM PRO' at the end of the installation - and update it, then run a full scan in your main account, and Quick scans in any other user accounts.

    Delete everything it finds
