    Win7 SP1 x64 TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE(0x800b0100)

    Hi,

I cannot install the SP1 x64 (KB976932) and an optional IE update (Windows Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems).

    Error on SP1 installation : TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE(0x800b0100)

I tried several fixes (and Fixit Tools) and also to follow the SP1 failure procedure (with the fix and check tool).
--> btw. I can ensure my PC is compatible for SP1 (it's a High-end machine made by my self and I am an IT)

I have also tried to reinstall the computer (as it was anyway a new installation) but the problem comes back.

Before this installation, the only thing that changed is that I now have an SSD instead of a classic HDD.

The only thing I can find is the CSU error log :

    Hi,

Sorry (no time to reply sooner or to test). It worked perfectly. Thank you so much!!

I would just like to ask, where do you find these packages?

    Thanks and Best Regards,

    Hi LeXbOnD,

No worries, I understand people have other commitments outside of this forum :)

That's great news! Thanks for letting me know. Thanks for the rep as well!

All of these packages were extracted from the French language pack update. Although I have a tool to do the work for me, it's the same procedure here:

System Update Readiness Tool - CheckSur.log File Analyzis

I have also downloaded every Vista, 7, C++ and .NET updates there are available, so I have every package in a folder in my computer :) All 8.24GB of them!

I hat to piggy back on this thread, but I am having a similar problem installing SP1 onto my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 machine. I've tried installing via Windows Update and manually by downloading and running the SP1 ISO. I keep receiving the error "Error on SP1 installation : TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE(0x800b0100)". I'm attaching my System Update Readiness Tool log, hoping that I can get some similar help like the OP in this thread. Thanks in advance, my fingers are crossed.
