You have/had a Trusted Store Tamper - possibly caused by over-zealous disk cleaning.

Please first try recreating Licensing Store.

    Recreate the Licensing Store
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-Click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator - accept the UAC prompt
Run the following commands in the Command Prompt window, using the Enter key at the end of each

    net stop sppsvc
(wait until the service has stopped before entering the following lines)

    Code:

    CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
    REN tokens.dat tokens.bar
    net start sppsvc
    slui.exe
After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear.
You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case

Reboot and Post back with a new MGADiag report

When I enter in my Activation Code I get this error dialogue box.

"The Product Key you have entered will not work with this edition of Windows 7. You must either run Windows 7 Setup or enter a Windows 7 enterprise product key"

I know for sure that my windows 7 is genuine as it is issued to every student at my university, and has worked the last 5 months. Not until I downloaded a bad file last night did I get this error.

OK - in that case you were probably entering the Key from the COA sticker on the machine's case, rather than the proper Key from the package that your disk came in. (To be honest, it was late, and I didn't notice that the Key here was the Default Key for Enterprise).
You should contact the SysAdmin at your Uni for the Key if you don't have it handy - as re-activating will 'use a life' out of their license.
