I already did that .. but nothing happens.
the updates are still there and waiting to install.
on my history the updates are successfully installed but repeatedly appearing on update box.

    Hi,

Please try the following steps mentioned on Update repeating with each shutdown :

    1. Go to Program and Features, click it.

    2. Scroll down to Microsoft.Net Framework 4 Client Profile, right click it.

    3. It will give you a choice of Uninstall/Change, click it.

    4. Then, it will give a choice to Repair it, pick Repair it. It will take about 4-10 minutes to repair (with my PC) your experience may vary.

    5. When completed, go to your update center, and update it again.

Right click on the updates and 'hide' them. Hopefully they will then not reappear.

It only effects the ones that you are hiding.

No, it will only be those 5 that are effected. And in any case, you can always 'unhide' and install them later. Maybe that frenzy is only temporary.
