Windows Update Not Working after months of being off

    Hello there.
I recently changed my settings for Windows Update, to let it check for updates, but now it always asks for a restart.
I tried almost every solution, i don't know what to do, i need SP1 for SQL Server 2012 to work, but it's not installing. I even downloaded the update from microsoft's website, but the installer fails.
I tried almost every method i found :
    - setting it to never update, then setting it back to automatic
    - deleting the registry keys from the Update-er
    - deleting the files in SoftwareDistribution
    - trying FixIt (normal and aggressive mode)
    - trying the FixIt method manually
    - renaming the edb.log file in the SoftwareDistribution folder via safe-mode.

I can't give you an error number, since it doesn't show one. It just asks for a restart, but nothing happens. I really need this fixed...

This is a Volume License Key installationof Windows (and Office)
Unless you got this through your college or employer it is almost certainly counterfeit.

If this is a corproate machine, you should contact the System Admin for assistance as you may not have appropriate permissions.

There are also some strange indicators in the report - one part tends to indicate that the WAT update is installed, while another indicates that it isn't.

    Close all open windows.
Open an Elevated Command Prompt window, and type the following command

    wusa /uninstall /kb:971033

    and hit the Enter key
Accept the warnings/confirmations, and wait for it to complete

copy and paste the output (if any) from the command prompt window to a reply here,
    Reboot

    reinstall the update from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971033
    Reboot

    Attempt validation at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate

run another MGADiag report, and post it.

    ok.
when trying to uninstall kb971033 i get the following error message :
    Installer encountered an error: 0x80070bc9
The requested operation failed. A system reboot is required to roll back changes made.
I seriously don't know what should I do.
Here's an MGADiag before the restart mentioned by the error message :

Oh, and I did the Genuine Validation thing and it says :
Because Windows installed on your PC is genuine, enjoy the security, reliability and protection it provides.

This error seems often to be the result of problems with .NET installations.

It may be that the CheckSUR tool will help -
Please run the CheckSUR tool from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821
(you'll need to look in the details for Method 2)

Then zip the CheckSUR.log and upload it to your public SkyDrive so I can take a look - post a link in your reply.

The tool can take anywhere from 5 mins to a couple of hours to run (or 'Install') depending on how much it has to do, and may exit silently - it may appear to freeze for most of that time, but be patient.
