    Kb3010788 // 800b0100

Hello everyone. One "important" 88 kb update ('KB3010788') simply will not install, no matter what I do. The resulting error = '800B0100'.

This seems to be a common problem, but none of the posted solutions work for me.

I've run "scandisk/chdsk" (no errors found),

    I've run the "checksur" utility,

    I've applied MS hotfix (Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x64 ??)

    etc, etc.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I think that I resolved the problem. I re-applied the hotfix (for a 3rd time), and now the update seems to have been installed.

The first time you ran the CheckSUR tool, it found the following...
    Code:
    Summary:
    Seconds executed: 826
     Found 74 errors
CSI C Mark Deployment Missing Total count: 74
The second time you ran it, it found nothing amiss. What changed in between the two?

I'm not entirely sure; I was not very organized/systematic in my approach. I think the MS hotfix solved my problem, but the effects were not immediate. I had to reboot twice.
