Yes the turbo memory and matrix drivers came as a set in the installer.

Would it be simpler to remove the turbo memory and the software, then just install IRST instead?

    Code:
    C:\Windows\system32>SFC /SCANNOW

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of th
    em.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

    C:\Windows\system32>
Was unable to open the log file get access denied.

I don't think I was able to run checksur, but I will try again.

Copy the CBS.log file created (C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log) to your desktop (you can't manipulate it directly) and then compress the copy and attach it to your reply.

I just noticed there was a typo in the last command so here it is again:

    Code:
    C:\Windows\system32>DIR C:\Windows\Servicing\SQM

    EGAD!
I was expecting a few in the pending folder - but not 1800+
...and a couple of pending deletes dating from 2009 is not a nice thing to see.
As far as I can see, there's no repeats there, either

please run the following commands - they'll copy the two 'delete' files to the desktop folder called 'tdels' . Please zip the folder and attach the zip to a response...
(interestingly, my Vista VM has 504 pending deletes as I just discovered - dating from before the release of SP1, which makes it interesting since this was installed from a TechNet SP2 disk!)

    md %userprofile%\desktop\tdels
    copy C:\Windows\winsxs\temp\PendingDeletes\*.* %userprofile%\desktop\tdels
