Windows 7 Build 7601 This Copy of Windows Is Not Genuine

Hello,

I was on my laptop today and everything was working fine until I minimized the screen and my wallpaper was gone and in its place was a little message that said Windows 7 Build 7601 This Copy of Windows Is Not Genuine. Hello and welcome nautique is this a build or bought machine?

Whatever it is it should have a sticker with the edition code on it.

If it hasn't I would be rather suspicious.

If you want to find what is on the machine run this Speccy - Download < from piriform it will give al the viatl stats on the machine and software etc

See my pic to see what it will show you when you click on operating system its; also a good app to have on board for times of queries, and it is free.

This installation has a number of problems.
1) the Key in use is the Default Key - which can never be activated.
2) there are signs that a hack has been used to circumvent activation and validation.

For what version and edition of Windows is the machine licensed, according to the COA sticker on the case, or inside the battery compatment?
