I uninstalled Norton per your instruction, rebooted, ran the command, rebooted and am now installing MSE, the error has gone again, would you recommend I try a fresh install of Norton or look elsewhere?

Stick with MSE for the moment - once the scan has finished, run another MGADiag report, and post it.

Why reinstall what broke the system in the first place - stick with MSE for a while and see how you get on with it.
I think you'll find that your system will be happier!

Never had problems with it before this apart from the odd crash. What AV would you recommend?
