    copy of Windows not genuine

Help please. I've searched and saw many threads on this subject but my situation seems simple. Biostar MB and original copy of Win 7 Pro. I recently reformatted my HD and did a clean install of Win 7 Pro. Installation and activation went fine.

Because of some other issues I did another reformat and clean install. This time before the install I cleared the CMOS in the BIOS setup of my MB and reverted back to original CMOS settings.

On this Win 7 install I am now getting an error message in the lower right hand corner of the desktop saying: "Windows 7 build 7601 copy of Window not genuine". This message occurs after I do a Windows update.

I feel this has something to do with the clearing of the CMOS and it should be an easy fix. What's my next step to correct this? thanks

Please follow this tutorial and post an MGADiag report - then we can see what the problem is.

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.
