Three Windows Security Updates continue to fail installation

I recently had to rebuild the Window 7 Home Premium X64 on my Gateway NV59 laptop. I used the recovery CDs from Gateway to do this.

So all I currently have is the OS and applications that were reinstalled from these CDs except the Norton Antivirus which I uninstalled since I use McAfee. I have not installed the McAfee yet.

I have installed approximately 160 updates successfully. Unfortunately the following 3 updates continue to fail:
Security Update for Windows 7 for x64 (KB2676562)
Security Update for Windows 7 for x64 (KB2724197)
    Windows 7 Service Pack 1 fo X64 (KB976932)

I even tried to install each seperately but had no success. I have attached the error message that I see when the installaton fails.

Any ideas as to why these will not install?

That normally means your computer is infected.
If it was my computer I would start with these.
    Malwarebytes

Free Online Virus Scanner | ESET

    Windows Defender Offline

    Thanks for the reply.

This is actually the 2nd time in a couple of weeks that I have done this. The first time I did not format the drive but this time I did. So, I guess the malware is apparently getting installed either from the CDs or as I download the updates. At any rate I will try to your suggestions and let you know what happens.

If you are infected again you must be careful what you are downloading. Where did you get your copy of Windows?

I purchased the recovery CDs from Gateway. There are 4 of them, System Disc, 2 Recovery CDs, and a Language CD.

I tried Malwarebytes first. It detected Trojan.Agent and cleaned it but this did not resolve the issue.

Next I tried Windows Defender which detected Alureon.H and cleaned it. Afterwards I was able to install the updates with no issues.

    Thanks for the assistance!

Alureon.H could of taken your passwords. I recommend changing all passwords.
    Happy computing.
