I can't honestly say that I can see anything wrong in the new data. There are some minor errors, which Windows ignores, and which are present in many fully-functional systems.
I can only think that the problem is confined to the WU system, so a full reset should work.
How do I reset Windows Update components? - use the fixit on the page, rather than the popover.

Hi,just tried to run Fixit. It ran ok.

Tried to do the update....and it's hung again .

I've left it a couple of hours and no progress?

    Anything else to suggest?

Thanks for the help so far.

I don't know if this is related but I get an "Interactive Services Detection" Message: "...another printer or printer share with this name exists. Please rename this printer or printer share"?

Odd - what printers do you have installed?
    This may help with that.

I doubt it's relevant to the problem, but you never know! (especially with OneNote, as it has claws all over the shop)
