Error message 800b0100 when trying to update service pack 1

I've tried to find a solution to this problem but nothing works, I did the windows update standalone package and it didn't work. I could use some help.

Compress them first - they should fit then (right-click, and select Send to... Compressed folder)

Yikes - delete the oldest of the CBSPersist.xxxxxxxxx.cab files and try again

Both SFC and CheckSUR are clear.
However, there are signs of corruption in the WU system.

Please run this fixit from Microsoft - http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...update.diagcab
post any results you get, and test Windows update after rebooting.

I have to admit to a certain amount of surprise - that fixit isn't known for its success rate :)

    Glad it worked for you.

    Good luck.
