Problem installing Windows 7 sp1, checkSUR log file NOTcontains errors

    Dear Gurus,

Windows update won't install windows 7 sp1. I tried to run the System Update Readiness Tool, but there is no problem in checkSUR.log file.
I' found some problems in CBS.log file. It's too big for posting complete file, so I posted only part.
Can someone help me to understand it
This is a problem more than a year.
    Thanks in advance,
    Michael.

Post more lines of CBS.log. Best is post whole file (zip it).
Can you install any other windows update? If no other updates are available... uninstall one first.

Try to reset windows update http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058/en-us

Download Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (KB976932) from Official Microsoft Download Center
Download windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe from that page (last item). Then run it. Works?

    Dear Kaktussoft
Not understood, which updates I need to remove? All except SP1 and Explorer 9 installed with no problem. "If no other updates are available... uninstall one first."
reset windows update and download windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe I've tried it before.

(Palming it off on me, huh? :) - I'm only good at curing file errors, so if it's anything else, it's back to you...)

There's no indication of the SFC actually running, in the current CBS log - but there are a large number of system errrors

(some of them are repeats, so don't worry about the numbers too much)

I'm not sure exactly what causes these errors - it seems to be a mismatch somewhere in the registry
Do you have any language packs installed??

For reference, here are the files I *think* SFC/CBS are missing for a proper install....
    Code:

    Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~uk-UA~8.0.7600.16385
    Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Package-TopLevel~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~9.4.8112.16421
    Package_for_KB976932~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.1.1.17514
    Microsoft-Windows-IE-Troubleshooters-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~uk-UA~6.1.7600.16385
    x86_microsoft-windows-i..oyment-languagepack_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_uk-ua_a375f7c398877c31

This suggests that you've inastalled a language pack (Ukrainian?), and that install has failed.
I would try uninstalling it if you can.

Which version of Internet Explorer is currently installed??
I'd try uninstalling IE9 if it's installed (it looks like it is) - you can always reinstall it later.

    Dear Noel.
I've started SFC in past year. Today started for 2 times after attempt to install SP1. After that I'll try Fix It tool and standalone installer one more time.
Version IE is 8. IE9 is failed to install. I'm worrying about language pack uk-UA. I think it is the main problem. I've never installed it on my laptop. How do I check and delete it?
    Thank you beforehand.
