I just checked and it seems I was pretty behind on updates and didn't even know it, so I'm updating windows now. But as for the Apple issue, my computer still doesn't even recognize that I'm even plugging the USB in, though a new wireless mouse that I plugged in worked and installed just fine. I'm not sure if you'd know how to help or if I should just attempt talking to someone new on the Apple Support staff to see if he/she can think of something the last two didn't.

Get all the updates done first - with the Apple device plugged out - then after the last update & reboot, plug it in and lets see if Windows picks it up.

...and Apple support will probably refer you to MS support because 'it must be an OS problem' - as ar as they are concerned, everything that's wrong with Apple products is MS's fault.

I did all the updates, restarted the computer, then plugged in my iphone when everything booted back up, and it still doesn't recognize it. When I worked on it with the Apple representative he was able to get the computer to recognize it but itunes still didn't recognize it, now neither do again.

You need to uninstall iTunes completely, and then reinstall it - make sure that you follow Apples rules on saving licenses, etc.
What Anti-Virus are you using? what other security software is currently installed?

What other AV's have EVER been installed on the machine?

I uninstalled and reinstalled itunes at least 5 times last week with the representative, but i'm doing it again now. I have AVG free anti-virus, which is the only anti-virus my computer has ever had. I bought it refurbished from newegg.com over a year ago. and I have no other security softwares that i know of.

I'm not sure what you mean by saving licenses.

It's always possible that AVG is part of the problem.
I suggest uninstalling it and running both the AVG 2012 and 2013 remover programs AVG | Download tools and utilities, then installing MSE temporarily, at least.

Uninstalled everything you said, rebooted between each, re-installed itunes, and it finally works :). Thank you VERY much. I've been trying to fix these problems with support people from the companies since the day after Christmas, you just managed to make my day, so again Thank you :).
