Ive been trying to update for what seems like the past month.

Ive been trying to update my computer but windows 7 is such a POS that every time windows tries to install updates, the computer shuts off or gets stuck updated for HOURS. I once left it on over night and NOTHING happened. Im using Windows 7 64 bit. This is really starting to get me aggravated and Windows customer support wants $99.00 from me to fix THEIR OS. Please help asap, anything will be appreciated.

Click start, in the search box, type the path below,

    \Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Delete everything in the Download folder, reboot pc, then try again.

I was directing him to delete his updates Download cache folder, its failing to install, not Download, hence why I'm thinking possible corrupted download.

    This was not ill advised.
