    Check If Your Windows Is Activated And Genuine!

    Hello SevenForum Viewers/Members.

    Today im am going to cover something really simple, but yet very helpful. If you have bought a laptop or desktop second hand, or you have bought windows but would like to check if it is genuine this is how.

    During this tutorial we are going to be using "Elevated Command Prompt".
    Basically CMD run as an Administrator. A Full tutorial can be found here:
    Elevated Command Prompt

    Here we go!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Firstly Open CMD In Elevated mode:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Now we should see Command Prompt Open.

    Next we are going to insert this code:

    I have also attached a .txt Document with the code in.

    Code:
    slmgr -xpr
    slmgr -dli
    slmgr -dlv
    Copy this form here, go into Command Prompt, Right Click and Paste.

    After you have done this Hit Enter.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Now we should see 2 boxes pop up, This Is the Information we want.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    You will now be able to tell if your windows is genuine.

    All very well - but doing it this way will miss many non-genuine flags, and the install could very easily be counterfeit, all your tests results being invalidated by a hacker's Activation Exploit.

    The only way to get close to 100% reliability is
    1) Know the source of your Key/Package - is it reliable?
    2) If there's the slightest chance of the source being other than 100% reliable, run an MGADiag report, and post the results in his forum for an expert to analyse.
    We will normally catch better than 80% of counterfeits which your tests above wouldn't find.

    To me, and I'm no expert that method looks like what a hacker would use to proof read their hack.

    Believe me - phoning MS first-line support for a 'real' answer is like hoping to get a response from the Vatican to a prayer!

    HLPTech I'M in no way accusing you of being a hacker.

    What I meat to say and thought I did say; is a hacker could keep working on a hack until it would pass the kind of test you do at work. That would be considered a good hack in their minds. Kind of a testing tool for them. A good smart hacker doesn't want to go up against MGADiag report and someone like Noel.

    As far as I know a MGADiag report and people like Noel is the process to use and it's not a 100% fool proof method. Some do slip by.

    Please remember I'm not a pro; this is just my opinion.
