Welcome to the forums - and thanks for stating the new thread :)
Unfortunately you still haven't provided the CheckSUR report as requested in the Windows Update Posting Instructions - and without that, we're limited in what we can advise.

The request in your error message gives us a clue what's happening - it seems that the system is stuck partway through wither installing or uninstalling an update, and has the pnding falg stuck - either because the relevant xml file isn't being acted upon and/or deleted, or because of other problems.

Your SFC scan was clear - but there are some other errors in the CBS log which may need addressing.

    Code:
     Line 4665: 2013-02-05 15:35:38, Error CBS Failed to shred identity: Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-LanguagePack [HRESULT = 0x80070057 - E_INVALIDARG]

A couple of them are common ones, and don't seem to cause a problem - some are much deeper.

Hopefully running the CheckSUR tool (and correcting any unresolved problems there) will clear the major errors and allow the install to complete.

Please post the log so we can resolve this.

    I've uploaded a file - bjdaa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive
    Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder bjdaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

    Hi,
I have attached the two files.

    Thanks

    Brian

EDIT: Those package and Manifests seem have sorted the problem as the update has now installed :)

Was this solution taylored to his specific error codes?

I'm having the same issue and would like to track down a solution.
