    I've had enough so it's full format & re install time.

    Well Windows 7 is now fully re installed, up to date & i've re installed all the other software I need.
    I've also run disk clean up & defragged then backed it up.
    MSE & Malware bytes both ran & reported machine clean.

    That's an older version of the tool - and not fully Win7-compatible.

    @Forky - where did you get the link for that version of the tool from?

    Yes, I fully updated Windows 7 first then once all the updates where downloaded I typed the licence key in & activated.

    Look at the timestamp on it, Colin - 21st Feb.
    Either the clock was mis-set, or it's a repair install rather than a clean one :)


    @Forky - you should clear that error by validating at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate using Internet Explorer.
