My mistake - KB982670 is the .NET Client Profile installer!.
Please check in your Installed Programs listing (NOT updates!) and see if there are references there to .NET 4 Framework.

Yes, & my mistake, install .NET 4 full & Uninstall IE 10. No good.
Going for a clean install, install update not IE 10, & than .NET 4 & 4.5. Last of all IE 10.

Looks like IE 10 most have .NET 4 install first.

    5) Manually Installed .NET 4 Client Profile, Lost updates.(error code 8024402C)
    6) Manually Installed .NET 4.5, updates back, installed updates.
    7) Installed IE 10. All OK.

    let's go off on a bit of a side-track...
Please provide an MGADiag report - it could give us the information we need .

Ignore errors produced when clicking on theCopy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup filesfor some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to yourresponse.
