    Hi Noel,

    Status report:
    Completed the Repair Install procedure: OK
    Installed about 110 Windows Updates: OK
    Restored the desktop background image: OK
    Reinstalled AVG2013 and full system scan: OK

    All seems fine now.
    Problem solved.
