Great - the scan is now error-free :)

Now please do a manual Check for Updates, and then try installing what's found.
    post your results.

It says that there are no updates, but when I look at the update history it says that it failed. Also, when I did the sfc /scannow last night it said that there were some errors that it couldn't fix. I don't know if you need that info.

Check your Installed Updates listing - you may find that IE 9 is there now :)

Check the version and 'update version' of IE - click on the 'cog-wheel' at top right of the IE window, and select About Internet Explorer - what does it say?

It shows that there are no updates to install. Thank you so very much. You have been really prompt and engaged and I appreciate it!

It's nice to have someone on the other end who tries to follow instructions, even if they don't understand them :)
All too many wander off and 'try something else' in the meantime - and neglect to let us know, which means that we can end up chasing our own tails and the goalpost move around.

Thanks for being a good client.
    Good luck!
