    Your system is now showing as genuine :) - you should clear the remaining error by validating using Internet Explorer at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate

    CheckSUR is clean
    SFC is clean

    Try downloading the two remaining updates for offline install....

    I did the validation and I am officially running genuine windows! Hopefully I won't see that pop-up anymore!

    I used the download center to install those two updates that wouldn't install automatically. They worked first try and I no longer get messages asking me to install important updates.

    Thank you so much for helping me get everything back in order on my machine! I was really scared when the people at windows help desk were suggesting a complete reinstall of windows as the only fix.

Hi, Malware was found on this computer which I cleaned out (Malwarebytes etc.). But it left registry problems. I think I have those fixed (Tweaking.com - Windows Repair) and was able to install all but 6 or 7 updates so I cleaned things up again... now I'm left with "updates won't install error...
