yes it looks like that, when i got it i activated it but had no internet then now, several months later finally got to an internet sorce and says its not genuine. when i activated it it never went though and has always said that is not genuine

yes custom built, and the company said they activated it when they installed it. my buddy bout the same computer through the same company and his works and is activated jus fine, thats why im not thinking its the company its the os

If this was pre-installed as you say, then the installation should have been activated before you took possession of it. However, you said that you tried to activate it - why if it was already activated by the vendor? The diagnostic report clearly shows it has never been activated.
The fact that it refuses to accept the COA key, and MS doesn't recognise it, tells me there is a strong possibility you were conned into purchasing a System Builder OEM that will never activate. How reliable is the vendor? |

I still not clear on why you said you tried to activate it, but you also claim the vendor already activated it. The diagnostic clearly shows it never was.....
Since the support for this installation must come from the System builder (and not Microsoft), I suggest getting in touch with them and explaining the problem. |

well the vendor says it shoud have came pre installed and activated. when i opened it and went throught setup procedures it propted me to activate it and i tried and it said that the key was invalid
