Yep, it sounds like a bad installation. I strongly recommend contacting the vendor.
ok thank you i have and waiting on a reply from them. have you tried the windows8 os?
well i thank you for your help, i really hope these guys dont screw me over. if so ill jus look for a cracked vers. or go os8
The OEM version should self activate when you put in your name, location, etc. If it doesn't I think the vendor already has screwed you over.
In that case the company broke a number of rules.
The installed Key is a COA_SLP Key, which can only legally be sold with the machine from a major manufacturer, and cannot be applied 'after-market'
The installation should have been done using the proper tool - to ensure that you read and agree to the License terms the first time you run Windows. In this case it would probably have required that you enter the Product Key at that time.
According to the DMI data, the machine is based on this... MSI Global ? Notebook & Tablet - GT70 0NC - although due to the BIOS date, we can assume that yours is an earlier model.
I would suggest attempting Telephone activation, and speaking to an operator.
telephone activation (operator calls)
Click on the Start button
in the Search box, type
SLUI 4
and hit the Enter key
follow the instructions, but when asked which service you require by the telephone ansafone, do NOT reply - this should force an operator to respond, who can deal with you
