    Re: Windows is not genuine

    Hi

First time ever I see this message on my desktop:

This copy of Windows is not genuine

    My Windows 7 (64bit) is 100% genuine.

    Can this be a virus?

    Thanks

    Hi GMS

Click on the button, and in the Search box, type SERVICES.MSC
and hit the [Enter] key click Yes on UAC window
Look in the listing of services for
    Software Protection - (sppsvc)
    and
    SPP Notification Service - (sppnotify)

right-click on each, and select Properties -
    look in the Startup type
sppsvc should be set to Automatic (Delayed start)
sppnotify should be set to Manual.

Restart PC and upload new MGAdiag log

Looks Clean . Is the error still showing ? Right click on Computer choose Properties and scroll to the bottom and see if it says Windows is activated .

    Error is gone....

    Windows shows that it`s activated.

Thank you so much for your help.

It happens when some of the activation files get messed up. Don't mark this thread as solved just yet . Wait a few days then mark it as solved .
