Windows Update Failing

    Windows Update Failing


    Windows update is failing with error code 643(see attached screen shot)

    I've installed and run the SURT screen shots and CBS log file is attached

    Hi , yes that got me through the .NET problem, but now i'm trying to do the ie10 update and i get error 9c59. I've tried dwnloading and installing but it aborts half way through. i've also tried installing the prerequisites manually and these install fine but do not help the ie10install

    Do you have the system requirements? Internet Explorer system requirements

    More than likely do.

    Try the following in this: code 9c59 - Microsoft Community
    5th one down.

    tried the troubleshooter(was that what you meant by the 5th one down?) and it still failed . How do i reset the CBS log file? its now too big to upload)

    Try this, Option Two: Windows Update - Reset
    Then run a manual update check.

    Hi colinlukies,

    Could you attach the following logs please:

    C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log
    C:\Windows\IE10_main.log


    And I would also like you to tell me which update (KB******) is failing please :)

    I'm down to 2 updates that wont go through....

    ie10 and KB2592687

    Hi Colin,

    Can you try resetting the Windows Update components in aggressive mode please:
