Unable to run SFCscan,Windows Updates error 80004002,IE,Troubleshooter

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
    SURT installed fine
SFC Scan: Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service.
Windows Update error code: 80004002 Windows encountered an unknown error. Nothing happens when I click the link to get further details.

Also, I have no system restore points anymore; the computer doesn't recognize any flashdrive I try to connect to it. It shows up when I safely remove it though. No problems starting up the computer.
