    IE 10 install fails W7 x64 ultimate

I've tried all approaches I can but IE 10 update fails with errors 9C59 and 80070643.

Security and antivirus off. Manual and auto installs.

I ran SURT and SFC scan (no errors). Have attached CBS.zip

    Very gratefull for your help

    Hi Brian,
This could be due to either missing NET Framework updates or a failure on the harddisc that prevent the installation. Use this method to fix the registration of MSI software update Method 1: Fix MSI software update registration corruption issues
    Error codes
Then you can try to run the chkdsk to make sure the disc has no failure and let windows update to bring you the latest updates your pc needsRun ChkDsk Utility - How To Run Chkdsk

The most critical file is missing from your upload - the CBS.log.

Please do the upload again, checking first that the CBS.log file is present.

Thank you mach04 and Noel for your responses and help.

I ran the Fix MSI etc and ChkDsk as sugeested by mack04. Both made a few adjustments but the IE 10 install failed with the same codes.

I have rerun SURT and SFC scan twice now to be sure you have the latest state of my machine.

Since I started having the IE 10 install errors I have replaced the two video cards (for 4 screens) with 2 x PNY NVS 310 pro cards and I have also had a non system disc fail and replaced. These changes did not effect the IE 10 install error codes.

Sorry about the CBS log. I dont normally run as admin and I was refused access and the copy failed. This time I loaded it into notepad, as admin, and saved it to the desktop CBS file before compression. I trust this hasn't changed the file for you.

    Regards, BrianG

The critical error appears to be...
    Code:

2013-05-04 13:30:53, Info CBS Perf: Stage chain complete.
This file should be in the installer - so the problem may simply be a bad download.

Before we go deeper into that possibility, please post the C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file, and we'll see what that has to say about it.

(the CheckSUR and SFC logs are apparently clear)

I thought responded to this yesterday?

... From what little I understand of the log, it appears that the problem is that the download of 6 parts of the update is blocked buy Microsoft's servers for whatever reason.
It may be to reduce server load, or it may be that they have ceased serving this version of the update and are awaiting a revised version.

I would advise against attempting to install IE10 for the moment in your situation - it is known to cause severe problems is a small number of machines, and yours may be one of them.

It can also be that during the installation your connection was temporarily lost and the download couldn't proceed.
If I were you I will uninstall IE10, switch back to IE9 and wait until Windows update bring the up latest update to install IE10.
