Thank you for the help, I really appreciate it. The "Not Genuine" thing isn't a huge issue, all in all, but it's quite annoying. I'm not able to update or run troubleshooters or anything, and that pop-up tends to minimize my games if I haven't paid attention to it in too long. I'm just trying to avoid fully re-installing Windows, as I don't want to lose all the data I have on my HDD or purchase a new one to use as a master drive.

    Thank you again.

Also, wouldn't this https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...adType=Drivers be the SATA driver?

Yes . Do you know if your hard drive is plugged in the Intel SATA chipset or the Marvell chipset

That I do not know offhand. It's in a SATA port, but I don't know the difference between Intel and Marvell ones. :X

This can result from mistakenly setting the System32 folder and its contents to 'Read Only' status.

    Open Windows Explorer (Computer)
    Navigate to the C:\Windows folder
Find the System32 sub-folder and right-click on it
    select Properties

Clear the 'blob' from the 'Read-only (Only applies to files in folder)' box by clicking on it until it's plain white.
    Click on Apply.

Make sure that the radio button for 'Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files' is set, and click OK.

Accept the Administrator prompt. After a couple of seconds, you'll be told there is an error - click on the 'Ignore all' button.

Wait for it to finish - it could take a couple of minutes.

OK out, and exit Windows Explorer.

    Reboot twice

    Post a new MGADiag report.
